Youth Moments from Summer 2016

At YouthWorks, we’re so grateful for all the incredible moments that composed Summer 2016. The service and learning and growth that God brought about in communities across the continent is truly something to give thanks for. Below are just a few of our favorite youth moments from Summer 2016. What an incredible difference love and friendship can make in a child's life! This little guy has had some rough days this summer, but two of our high school students this week made it their mission to work with him so he could have a great day today, and he did! I'm so incredibly thankful for the amazing young people who come work alongside us every week and for these two young men's incredible Christ-like love and pursuit of this little boy. God is so faithful. #yw2016

This trip has been so rewarding(I leave tomorrow morning)! I have been able to strengthen my relationship with God and Jesus. Along with my friendships with everybody who came along! I was eating lunch with all the kids of Manderson and asking them if they were going to go to kids club. I asked this little boy with his sister and they were so shy that they didn't even want to say anything back. After talking to them for awhile I got them to both come to kids club, where they had a great time. This little boy heard one of my friends call me smella. So for the rest of the night I was called smella, smelly, smelephant, and then for some reason snot rocket. 😂 Even though he wouldn't stop calling me these names he was still one of the sweetest boys I've met. It was amazing to see him warm up and love all of us. All the children truly touched my heart and I would go back everyday if I could. I will never forget how much this trip has affect me and how much I have grown with God. #yw2016

This was one of the best experiences of my life. I've never felt closer to God and my family in Christ. I would go back to Alabama any day to spend time with the community and the friends I made. #YW2016
