About Milwaukee

Your group will have the opportunity to serve alongside some great organizations that are working to support the Milwaukee community. Community partners include food pantries, meal centers, local gardens and intergenerational care centers. Many of these organizations are interconnected in the process of reducing food insecurity throughout the community. In the evenings, you’ll explore the city and spend time with community members to help you experience urban life in Milwaukee. YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 1999.

Please note: All information regarding service and community engagement activities are subject to change.

Serving in Milwaukee

  • Partner with local organizations to meet ongoing needs in the community.
  • Serve through community beautification projects, weeding, gardening, cleaning and other service related projects.
  • During the week, students may serve at one or more of the service options.

We utilize a mission trip model based on servant-leadership that prioritizes what God is already doing through the local Church and community development organizations.
