Duluth, Minnesota’s neighbor, Superior, Wisconsin is nestled on the western tip of the Great Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in surface area in the world. Lake Superior’s scenic shore will offer a beautiful backdrop to your time of service. Though Duluth and Superior are close neighbors, they are two drastically different cities, with Duluth being much more an industrial city while Superior is much more of a blue collar town. On one hand poverty and economic hardship are realities in both cities, especially among the youth population. At the same time, both of these cities have been consistently recognized as great places to live.

Duluth/Superior is a Family Mission Trip site. By doing work projects and working alongside local social service organizations like the Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, the City of Duluth Parks & Rec department, senior centers, and even an accordion museum, your family will have the opportunity to serve in both of these cities. Depending on the timing of your trip there will also be an opportunity for your family to visit Canal Park in Duluth along the lake, experience Enger Tower Park in Superior that overlooks both Duluth and Superior, and participate in a community cookout.
