Originally established as a railroad hub in the midst of booming cotton and oil industries, Dallas has continued to be a prominent city in the United States, now ranking 9th largest in population. Strong industrial and financial sectors keep Dallas booming and help to attract business travelers from around the world. Dallas is also known as the home of the largest urban arts district in the nation, and is the top leisure destination in Texas. All of this adds up to make the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport the 4th busiest airport in the world! However, there is much to this city that those who come for business, tourism, or just an airport layover will never have the chance to see — there is a beauty and a brokenness to this city that only locals know.
