Communities of Hope | Social Roundup #yw2017

There is an abundance of hope in the communities we serve.  Working alongside teenagers, God works through us to join with communities and understand their strengths and struggles.

We appreciate the beauty of each community, build on the hope we see and follow God’s call to respectfully serve.

Thank you #teampittsburgh for a GREAT week!!! #yw2017 #specialdelivery #sandiego

Probably one of my favorite parts about our programming in Rapid City is the buildup of events throughout the service week. The first few days, the participants are introduced to the less-popular version of our country’s history regarding the treatment of the Lakota nation. After spending time serving the community, they are exposed to the present richness of the Lakota culture that is very much alive and well in Rapid. Wednesday nights, that looks like attending a pow wow and learning dances from people like Daroon. Finally, we head into the culmination of their experience- the community cookout. I’m so excited for this group’s final service day in Rapid and can’t to see what the Father has in store! 🙌🏻 #yw2017 #thegoodlife @ywmissions @ywsummerstaff
