4 Reasons We Love NYWC

As much as we love all the great ministry that happens on mission trips each summer, there’s another season we’re excited about at YouthWorks. It’s every fall when youth workers from across the country (and beyond) gather at the National Youth Workers Convention. Here’s 4 reasons we love NYWC:

1. Oodles of Resources

Wander between the exhibit hall and the bookstore and you’re going to find tons of tools to make your ministry better. From organizations to curriculum to ideas to events, you’re bound to find what you’re looking for.

2. Networking Opportunities

It’s really the people that make NYWC great. Not only will you meet other people doing ministry in similar settings to yours, you’ll get to rub shoulders with the speakers and authors who have been where you are and have lived to tell about it.

3. Space to rest

While there is tons to do and plenty of people to talk to, you make your own schedule. So if you need to sleep in or get away or even take a little time in the quietness of NYWC’s Prayer Chapel, it’s not just possible – it’s encouraged.

4. People who care

Ultimately, the folks who put on NYWC want youth workers to flourish in their jobs. More than simple training, they’re aiming at true encouragement and excellent resources that will move you from surviving to thriving. At NYWC, you – the youth worker in the trenches of youth ministry – are the hero.

Youth Specialties is all about helping people do great youth ministry – whether that’s through providing quality training, starting intentional conversations or making meaningful connections. And at NYWC all those things come together in really incredible ways.

And that’s why we at YouthWorks are already excited to be heading to Cincinnati for NYWC in November 2016. We really hope we’ll see you there! Find out more about the 2016 National Youth Workers Convention.
