together to bring summer mission trips to Nashville, TN for your youth group!

(Students in grades 6 through 12 in the 2012-2013 school year)

Only $269 per person
(This includes housing, meals, supplies, logistics, programming and staff)

The DMYP and YouthWorks invite you and your youth to join us for a week of serving others, growing in faith together and connecting with fellow United Methodist youth and youth workers from around the country. Whether you are new to leading mission trips or have extensive experience, consider this to be an opportunity to impact your youth and connect to the larger Church body. This mission trip will provide a fully-facilitated week including housing, meals, service opportunities and programming so that you are able to focus on your youth without having to worry about the details.
We hope you will join us in serving God together and encouraging each other to "do no harm, do good and stay in love with God."
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Service and Ministry
Groups will serve at existing local organizations that work with children, the elderly and the homeless in Nashville. Examples of possible service include facilitating children’s day camps, sorting donations, exterior home painting and light construction, and cooking and serving meals at a homeless shelter. Depending on the organizations that we partner with, your group will likely have the opportunity to partner with several organizations on a rotational basis, but may also be consistent at one ministry all week.
Evening Activities
Evening activities during a YouthWorks week are designed to give participants insight into the lives of local residents and the culture of the area. Examples of what we have done in the past include:
- Attend a local church service
- Take a tour of Upper Room and enjoy a community cookout
- Scavenger hunt around downtown Nashville
- Cultural activity and community speaker
