http://www.youthworks.com/images/spacer.gifYouthWorks offers several types of summer staff positions.  Summer staff work together in teams made up of a Site Director and 3-4 Site Coordinators to create a spiritually focused and servant-centered mission site. Team members share many of the same job responsibilities – interacting with youth at every opportunity, coordinating meals, participating in evening programming, building relationships with community members and engaging in weekly check-ins.  Each position is also defined by unique areas of leadership specific to the role.  All summer staff receive community and specific role information, as well as participate in thorough training, at the beginning of the summer.

General Qualifications:  All staff must be actively pursuing a relationship with Christ, have a desire to serve the Church, be able to relate to youth, model servant leadership, be flexible, have a teachable spirit, and be willing to grow in all areas.

Develop lifelong friendships with community members and be changed by their love.

Specific Qualifications: In addition to general qualifications, Site Directors must be a college graduate or of post-college age, have previous leadership experience and have the ability to successfully lead a team while managing the site.  It is not necessary for Site Directors to have had a previous YW summer staff experience.
